This Privacy Policy explains how Burak Mahmut Gezer ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the mobile application i'm done. (the "App").
The short version: the App is built to work without an account. Your recovery data — your streak, journal entries, check-ins, and settings — is stored on your own device. We do not collect it, we cannot read it, and it is never sold.
The App does not require you to create an account. We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or contacts.
The content you create in the App — including your quit date, weekly spending figure, reasons for quitting, daily check-ins, journal entries, urges logged, and any slips recorded — is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers, because the App does not use our servers for this purpose.
Some limited information is processed by service providers so the App can function:
If you enable backups, your App data may be included in your device backup and stored in your personal iCloud account, which is controlled by you and governed by Apple's terms. We have no access to your iCloud account or its contents.
The App can send reminders, milestone alerts, and supportive messages. These are local notifications generated on your device according to your settings. They are not sent from a server and their content is not transmitted to us. You can turn any category off in the App's settings, or disable notifications entirely in your device settings.
Information about gambling behavior can be sensitive. This is precisely why the App is designed to keep that information on your device rather than on our infrastructure. We do not use it for advertising, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not sell it.
The App is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information to us, contact us at the address below.
Because your data lives on your device, you remain in control of it:
We do not retain your recovery data because we never receive it. Purchase records held by our subscription provider are retained for as long as necessary to provide the service and to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
Data stored on your device is protected by your device's own security features. You can enable an additional app lock in Settings. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is available in multiple countries. Our service providers may process limited purchase-related information in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for such transfers.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the App or the App Store listing.
